10 tips to get followers on Instagram

Your followers must be valuable on Instagram, real people who care about and interact with your brand and have long-term loyalty male comments. Taking shortcuts like buying followers or using bots is no longer useful.

That is why I want to share with you these 10 types to get followers on Instagram

  1. Have a brand strategy
    Gaining followers has to be part of a brand strategy and your social media goals. What is the reason why you want to get followers?

Focusing on your business goals will help you tell a compelling brand story that attracts new visitors to your profile and helps you build a loyal fan base.

  1. Define your audience
    Think about who your target audience is so you can stay focused on the type of content you should offer them and thus generate a bond between your followers in the long term. Make your audience want to follow you in the long term.
  2. Create a consistent brand story and aesthetic
    It is important to maintain a consistent brand personality and aesthetic. Your posts should be easily recognizable at first glance. Think of your feed as a unit and to share content that is not in line with the look of the feed, use stories.
  3. Use keywords to appear in searches
    Before people can follow you they will have to find you. There are two sections on Instagram that contribute to search results: name and username.

Your username is your identifier on Instagram, it should be consistent with the username on your other social networks to make it easier for people to find you. Include the most relevant words in the name field to improve visibility.

    The text of your posts does not appear in searches, but the hashtags do. Include relevant hashtags to help people find your content after a search or after clicking on a hashtag from another relevant post.

Users can follow hashtags, so any content that includes hashtags can appear in the feeds of people who don’t already follow your account.

You can include up to 30 hashtags, but it is better to include relevant hashtags, prioritize quality over quality.

Avoid using trick hashtags like “#likeforlike” or “#followme”, you may increase followers but most of them are surely bots or people who are not really interested in your content.

    Two-thirds of visits to company profiles come from people who are not followers. Those new visitors are potential followers. Take advantage of the 150 characters of your bio to project your brand identity and show new followers why they should follow you.
  2. Design an attractive grid
    Each post in your grid needs to be visually attractive and of high quality. When a user visits your profile, the content should make them want to see more. Inspire a new visitor to click Follow.
  3. Write long, captivating descriptions
    Although it is a visual platform, writing captivating descriptions plays an important role in obtaining interactions and greater reach, these two are key to gaining followers.

Place more important words at the beginning. If your description is longer than 125 characters, users will have to click “more” to see more.
Ask a question: To facilitate your audience leave a comment.
Try emojis: They can help attract the reader’s attention and are appropriate for most account types.
Try different descriptions: Allows you to write descriptions with up to 2,200 characters so you can tell a story. Short descriptions are for images that speak for themselves.

  1. Pin your best comments
    One of Instagram’s little-known features is the ability to post up to three comments for each post. You can use it in two ways to get more followers:

Use sticky comments to extend your description beyond 2,200 characters by continuing your story in the comments. It allows you to carry out more detailed and deeper storytelling.
Pin your favorite comments from other users, especially if the comments are creating a lot of engagement.

Any way you use this feature, it can help you manage a conversation in your comments, creating more opportunities to interact and connect.

  1. Promote your Instagram account on other channels
    Your profile must be visible, if you have other social networks tell fans about your new Instagram account. Share a link to your profile and give your followers a reason to check out your profile, e.g. exclusive Instagram coupon, event or contest.
